Year in year out we gather at St Brendan’s to celebrate the prize giving event.

It all began in the morning with our programme director Mr Watadza( or as we like to call him prof!!). We had some of our St Brendan’s learners and even teachers entertaining us from the Limpopo boys to our school band. Truly St Brendan’s has a lot of talent.

From there we had our motivation speaker Mr Kgwadu Mabote, who reminded us of our weaknesses and that they should not be our limits but rather our motivation. What stood out for me was that our speaker was from our backyard.

After the motivational speech we now moved on to the main event of the day which was awarding those who did exceptionally well in their academics. The RCLs and excelling educators in different subjects. We even witnessed teachers that we never thought could dance a few moves. The number of people who were awarded was shocking and this reminded us as the St Brendanscommunity why we come to school everyday. As the event came to an end we had meals provided and with all the happy faces around, I knew that it was a wonderful day indeed.
